arguments are kind of confusing

  1. Cups hold water. Swimming pools have water in them, therefore, swimming pools are cups.
  2. Elevators move up and down. Someone is in a moving elevator, therefore, they are going up and down.
  3. The gambler rolled a die three times and each roll they landed on 2 and 4, therefore, on the next roll the die will land on a 2 and 4.
  4. Every time you freeze water it turns to ice, therefore, the next time water freezes, it will turn to ice.

  1. I love your original examples you have used! Personally, I’m not very great at inductive/deductive arguments, but when I read your examples it made it more clear to me and understood it well.
